Airmen, Qatari partners hone skills during MARE

U.S. and Qatar Emiri Air Force firefighters tend to simulated victims of major aircraft accident on a KC-135 Stratotanker during a Major Accident Response Exercise, April 22, 2015, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The simulated patients were moved from the aircraft to a triage area where medical response teams categorize patients and transitioned them to higher levels of care. The MARE, which is a mission assurance exercise is required by all Department of Defense Bases on an annual cycle, ensures that personnel are properly trained and proficient at responding to incidents or threats in the event of a real world occurrence.
