Firefighters from the NY 106th Rescue Wing respond to the scene of a major brush fire north of the air base at FS Gabreski Airport on Aug. 10, 2015. In total eight brush trucks, seven tankers and 14 different fire departments worked together to battle the blaze which destroyed 15 acres of land along the west side of Old Riverhead Road south of Sunrise Highway.
