SAN DIEGO (Aug. 5, 2019) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Christopher Paparigopoulos stands by, in his protective firefighting proximity suit, awaiting his turn to participate in a crash and salvage training exercise onboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
