Matthew Dewitt, 386th Logistics Readiness Squadron NCOIC of fire truck and material handling, stands in front of an aircraft rescue and firefighting apparatus (ARFF) at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. Dewitt secured the fire protection capabilities necessary to protect U.S. and partner nation forces by dedicating 252 hours on and off duty to repair the ARFF after it was rendered inoperable for 514 days.
