Firefighters from the participating countries conduct fire training exercises for the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) training operation during exercise Cobra Gold at the Disaster Relief Training Center, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand, Feb. 28, 2024. The HADR training exercise was a demonstration within Cobra Gold 2024 in which participating nations train with the intention of preparing for emergencies; that consisted of search and rescue, emergency medical services, medical evacuation, hazardous material decontamination and fire suppression. Joint exercise Cobra Gold is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia and is a concrete example of the strong alliance and strategic relationship between Thailand and the United States.
