Story by Eric Franklin July 31, 2025 at 04:40PM BELTON, Texas — Fort Hood and Killeen firefighters conducted a joint swift water rescue training July 21–23 at Belton Lake Dam, seizing a rare chance to operate in fast-moving water conditions. Led by the Fort Hood Fire Department, more than 50 personnel trained in life-saving techniques including survival swimming, rope rescues, and boat operations.
