Vandenberg Fire Department aids during Alisal Fire


Story by Airman 1st Class Rocio Romo October 27, 2021 at 04:25PM The 30th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department provided assistance to contain the Alisal Fire which started Oct. 11, 2021, at Los Padres National Forest in Goleta, Calif. The fire consumed approximately 17,000 acres of land, leading to the evacuation of hundreds of nearby residents and ranchers.

Michigan National Guard's Task Force 46 Conducts Dense Urban Terrain Exercise in Los Angeles

Joe Legros October 27, 2021 at 03:06PM Task Force 46 provides command and control for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response elements (C2CRE-B) converging on LA for DUT training to support the assigned U.S. Northern Command homeland defense and all-hazards mission. This joint event sees the LAPD and LA Fire Department (LAFD) playing host to Task Force 46 from October 17-22. DUT exercises take place throughout the week at Fire Station 88 in Sherman Oaks, while the Riverside Fire Department welcomes the task force to the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside for concurrent training.

Carson firefighters support Ida response

Based on regional scheduling criteria it was their turn to answer the call for assistance, should any be needed in the south and western regions of the U.S.

Fort Sill firefighters practice nighttime aircrew evacuation training


Story by Monica Wood October 25, 2021 at 12:41PM Fort Sill firefighters gathered at Station #2 at the Henry Post Army Airfield to conduct aircrew extraction training at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18, 20 and 22. The reason for scheduling the training over three days is to ensure all shifts of Fort Sill firefighters receive the nighttime extraction training.

Team Misawa Remembers 20 Year Anniversary of 9/11 Attack
