While working in the communications center firefighters respond to a variety of calls including medical emergencies, in-flight emergencies, and building alarms.

Rachel Martin, an AH-64 Apache pilot and Troop Commander with the 6thAir Cavalry Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, dominated the recent USA Powerlifting: Military, Police, and Firefighter National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, winning first place in six categories – including squat, deadlift, and bench press.

Truax firefighters receive international accreditation

Michigan ANG firefighters aid county departments with live-fire training resources
April 13, 2022 at 10:45AM Capt. Andrew Layton ALPENA, Michigan – Firefighters from Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center have spent dozens of off-duty hours this winter building live-fire training props to aid 12 county fire departments. A demonstration April 7th showcased how these small-scale buildings help ensure first responders are prepared to employ many important fire protection strategies.
