Fort Bragg fire celebrates Fire Prevention Week
Story by Jacqueline Hill September 27, 2022 at 03:18PM FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Calling all aspiring firefighters! The Fort Bragg Directorate of Emergency Services Fire team will be celebrating Fire Prevention Week at various locations across the installation the week of October 10. Fire prevention week will include demonstrations, the fire safety house, information on kitchen safety, information on smoke detector safety, and fire trucks will rotate throughout the day depending on mission requirements. There may even be a visit from Sparky the Fire Dog.

The ability to combat fires, floods, or other casualties is essential to fleet readiness. One thing is for certain: when underway, Navy Sailors are the first and last lines of defense against combat casualties.
U.S. Airmen teach Kuwait Army firefighters life-saving techniques

Dalton Williams September 27, 2022 at 01:35AM U.S. Airmen from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES), 386th Expeditionary Medical Squadron and the 79th Expeditionary Fighter Generation Squadron (EFGS) held in-depth classes and hands-on training for Kuwait Army firefighters on basic lifesaving care and pilot evacuation techniques on, September 14, 2022. Several Kuwaiti soldiers attended the training and each one was highly motivated to learn advanced skills to save someone’s life in a crisis event.

Red Tail Firefighters get Suicide Awareness Patch

James Bentley September 24, 2022 at 08:30AM No one fights alone. 332d Fire and Emergency Services were the first deployed unit to be completely outfitted with the Department of Defense Fire and Emergency Services Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Initiative’s Suicide Awareness patch. In total 45 firefighters received a patch, and they also sold them to members of other units.
