Garrison Wiesbaden and German firefighters partner to save property while safeguarding lives


Story by Michael Kenfield July 07, 2023 at 05:13AM While German American Friendship Festival patrons joyously laughed on the rides, nervously screamed in the haunted house and sang along with the on-stage music acts on the last day of the festival July 4, first responders from the City of Wiesbaden and U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden worked together to extinguish a brush fire that threatened residential property along Hans-Bredow Strasse.

NAS Patuxent River Announces Traffic Impacts Relating to Funeral Procession of Firefighter Brice C. Trossbach July 6 2023


Story by Chief Petty Officer Patrick Gordon July 03, 2023 at 03:15PM NAS Patuxent River advises all personnel at NAS Pax River and the surrounding community that major impacts to base traffic should be expected on base Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. for the funeral procession of Firefighter Brice C. Trossbach. NAS Patuxent River Gates 1 and 2 and will be temporarily closed to inbound and outbound traffic while the funeral procession makes its way through the base. Gate 3 will remain closed during this time as well.

NAS Patuxent River Mourns Loss of Firefighter Brice C. Trossbach

Trossbach, 25, who died in the line of duty while responding to an emergency on June 27. Trossbach made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a mutual aid call of a structure fire in Leonardtown, Maryland, dedicating his life to protect and serve our community.

Garrison Wiesbaden firefighter honored by German state of Hesse Minister President


Story by Martin Heinen June 27, 2023 at 10:15AM U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Directorate of Emergency Services Firefighter Sascha Schubert was recently awarded the Hessian Rescue Medal, by Hesse's Minister President Boris Rhein, recognizing his efforts to rescue several individuals and for rendering medical assistance to victims of a multi-car accident on the A-3 highway near the Frankfurt Airport.
