RAF Mildenhall fire department hosts K-9 TCCC training

A Man Who Crashed a Snowmobile into a Parked Black Hawk Helicopter Is Suing the Government for $9.5M

Jeff Smith was whizzing along on a snowmobile one evening a few years back when something dark appeared in front of him. He hit his brakes but he couldn't avoid clipping the rear tail of a Black Hawk helicopter parked on the trail.

Firefighters from the participating countries conduct fire training exercises for the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) training operation during exercise Cobra Gold at the Disaster Relief Training Center, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand, Feb. 28, 2024. The HADR training exercise was a demonstration within Cobra Gold 2024 in which participating nations train with the intention of preparing for emergencies; that consisted of search and rescue, emergency medical services, medical evacuation, hazardous material decontamination and fire suppression. Joint exercise Cobra Gold is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia and is a concrete example of the strong alliance and strategic relationship between Thailand and the United States. This JHAT allowed the Guardsmen of the 91st CST to train with the 64th CST, New Mexico National Guard, firefighters and medics from Mesa Timber Fire and Medical District and Pinetop Fire District, and Public Information Officers from the Navajo County Department of Emergency Management and Preparedness to be prepared to confront any chemical, biological, and radiological threats against the homeland at a moment’s notice as a combined, efficient and effective team.
