A French mariner successfully makes a jump from his vessel supply ship Tor Viking II, while holding his cat, during a rescue 400 miles south of Cold Bay, Alaska, Oct. 20, 2015. Watchstanders at the Coast Guard 17th District received the initial alert from the mariner’s emergency position indicating radio beacon, and worked in conjunction with Coast Guard and Amver participating vessels to rescue the mariner.
